The Final Hockey Fans Deserve

This isn’t a preview or even an article.

I just wanted to express how happy I am about this Cup Final matchup.

The Nashville Predators

Everything an expansion franchise could hope to become.

A thriving and excited young fan base in a very unique southern market.

Quit labeling these fans, “bandwagon fans”.

The Predators are a relatively young team and the point of them being successful is for them to acquire new fans!

Believe it or not, everyone is a new fan at some point, and they’re going to have a lot of new fans after this incredible run.

Their national anthems have been awesome, their arena atmosphere has been even better.

They’ve got an awesome personality to market in PK Subban and I hope some young kids and Nashville see him and are inspired to get into hockey as they grow up.

I’m sure I’ll be chirping you soon, Predators fans, but it’s just part of hockey.

Make no mistake, I love everything your team represents.

The Pittsburgh Penguins

If you’re reading this, the odds are you’re a Penguins fan.

So I don’t need to tell you too much about this incredible team.

Two generational talents in Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin.

A remarkable playoff scorer in Phil Kessel.

A rookie goaltender seeking his second Stanley Cup.

An unbelievable tactician and motivator behind the bench in Mike Sullivan.

They know how rare this opportunity is and you better believe they’re going to embrace it.

All in all, two great teams are going to give us a series that I don’t think we’ll soon forget.

Just like I said in October, Penguins in 6 over the Predators.

Seriously, I don’t know how my¬†predictions keep coming true, but I’m glad they do.
